Lamentations 3:22-23. These verses from Lamentations relate very well to starting a new day afresh. God promises that His great love for us and unfailing compassion (or mercies as the New Living Translation puts it) are new every morning. This means that we really can start every day afresh – no matter how we feel physically.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
